The Capsul store is always pulsing with excitement. By blurring the lines between people & product, culture & community, we find ourselves at an exciting juncture of exploring new futures for streetwear in India.
In the spirit of nurturing communities, not cults, here’s a walkthrough of everything that went down at our store in March:
- Capsul X Hoovu powered by Budweiser: Holi edition
Our friends at Hoovu are doing a fresh take on traditional flowers. By making fresh puja flowers easily accessible to the public, Hoovu has recently created waves on Shark Tank India. What screams festive more than flowers, friends, colors & music? We huddled up our community on a spring afternoon at Hatworks Boulevard for a Holi party. A limited edition tee, cold beers fueled by Budweiser and friends spinning at the decks, this was a summer kick off party with streetwear’s take on Holi.
- Capsul X Troop Fit
We gave drip a whole new meaning with this one. Joining forces with the city’s rising fitness community, Troop fit, we opted for a ‘fun in the sun’ kinda Sunday. In this fitness meets streetwear event, we got our friends to step outdoors for a mobility training session under clear Bengaluru skies, followed by a super special drop of the Capsul X Troop – PMA (Positive Mental Attitude) Tee. We concluded our little sweat session with breakfast from our neighbours at Trippy Goat café.
- Pop-up at HGStreet
True to tradition, we were back in Bombay for a festival weekend! The Capsul pop-up at HG Street – a three-day festival was novel and exciting! We went live with our very first Gift Shop booth that hosted a curation ranging from Places + Faces to HUF X Marvel Spiderman. An added highlight to this experience was our phantom cigarette chocolate ganache cake giveaway!
- Capsul X India Record Co
In the spirit of reviving the old, the gold and in the in betweens, we celebrated the spirit of vinyl culture with India Record Co. A private listening session at Hatworks Boulevard brought together streetwear and music aficionados alike.
The foundations of our community are laid strong and firm. The months to follow is set to witness collaborations, conversations & experiences that are to carve a brand new direction for not just our brand but streetwear in India in general.
